Who pays the shipping costs if I need to return or exchange any clothing items?
Returns are free as long as you return any items within 14 days and have not worn them (you may of course try them on for size). Read all about the return procedure here.
How can I exchange an item?
Exchanging an item works in much the same way as returning an item. Read all about the return procedure here. Once your return shipment has been received, the return amount will be refunded as soon as possible (maximum of 14 days). In the meantime, you can order another item.
Can I have my order sent to a PO Box address?
Since the package must be accepted in person, it is unfortunately not possible to have your order sent to a PO box. If you can not have a package delivered at home, you can also enter someone else's address or, for example, your work address.
How can I track my order?
If you have chosen PostNL (the Netherlands) or UPS (Belgium) as your shipping method, your order will be delivered the next working day (if ordered before 7:30 pm). If you order after 7:30 pm, your order will be delivered within 2 working days. If you have not received your order after 2 working days, please contact our Customer Service. Make sure to give them the Van Gils web order number (if you contact them by phone) or include it in your e-mail.

What are the delivery costs, and when will my order be delivered?
The following shipping rates apply in The Netherlands and Belgium:
For orders under € 45.00 Van Gils will charge an additional € 5.00 for shipping costs.
For orders over € 45.00 no shipping costs will be charged.
Your order will be delivered within 2 working days.
If you order before 7:30 pm and choose to ship via PostNL (The Netherlands) or UPS (Belgium), you will receive your order on the next working day.
At the moment Van Gils only delivers in The Netherlands and Belgium. Other countries will be added soon.
Which countries does Van Gils deliver to?
At the moment we only sell and deliver within the Netherlands and Belgium. We expect to make deliveries to other countries in the near future. Keep an eye on our website for news updates regarding this.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the link 'Request new password' on the login menu. You will then receive an e-mail with further instructions.
What are the advantages of having a Van Gils account?

Do I need to create an account in order to be able to order from Van Gils online?
Creating an online account is possible, but not mandatory.

How do I know if a product is in stock?
If you can not select a specific colour, pattern or size of an item, it means that the product has unfortunately been sold out. You can select your size via the filter on the left. The webshop then shows the products that are available in your size.
How can I buy clothes from Van Gils online?
Buying men's clothing online is fast and simple on the Van Gils website. You can find articles by selecting a (sub) category, such as jackets or accessories, and by using the filter function or search function. If you want to order an item, select the correct size and/or colour and place the item in the shopping cart. When you are finished, you can view the items in the shopping cart again and change or delete them. Then continue to follow the steps in the ordering process.
Is it possible to order different parts of a suit in different sizes?
Unfortunately it is not possible to combine different sizes. In our Van Gils stores and at many of our other outlets an Essential package is offered. Here you have the opportunity to buy, for example, the trousers and jacket in another size, as well as two pair of trousers for the same suit. Take a look at the stores page for a store in your area.
I was unable to pay. Why is that?
There are various reasons as to why payment problems may occur. The following steps may help with completing your payment:
- Check whether you have entered your bank or credit card details correctly.
- Select a different payment method.
- If you continue to get error messages, you may want to contact your bank. A lack of sufficient funds may be the problem or your bank may have blocked the payment for security reasons.
